[SBS 2008] Iljimae/ 일지매 [English sub Ep.20 End]

I'm new to this forum. First of all, thank you very much for subbing this series :)

At first, I didn't give a damn for this show, first two eps looked awful to me, but it seems like this drama is improving episode by episode, so now I can say I'm hooked :) I still think that Junki overacts from time to time, but well, I guess it's to sell out a pathetic look that might change in the future. My favourite character so far is Ja Dol. I love him!! Tormented, cool character :D

Hi I am new and I registered on this board to especially say my bit and to give my support to the team. Oh and I don't understand 90% of this board, had trouble trying to post and logging guessing at things haha!  Nope don't understand Vietnamese at all!  So hope I don't do anything wrong!

Anyhow first of I would like to thank the team for the subs and the hard work to make them.  I saw how much flack you had off members over at D-addicts that it really made me wince everytime I opened the thread.  It was heartbreaking and sad how you was treated despite you doing out of your free time and of course being free.  Hell wouldn't really blame you if you just dropped it and walk away.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart that you carried on so members like myself can enjoy the show.  There are many members like myself, supporting you and patiently awaiting your subs. So gambatte!! And good luck with your studies.

I must admit that I am guilty that at one point, I was a bit impatient waiting for the subs, the delay and also the errors that there was but I had never posted and complained it.  For starters it's impolite and rude, plus its a free gift that you all do at the goodness of your heart. After seeing more and more compliants that I had seen,  I felt shameful I was even feeling impatient at one point.  

Btw not a complainant at all as in the end I had fixed the problem, and I didn't mean no disrespect either for fixing it.  Not sure if anyone else had any problems, but I had some problems trying to view the subs for ep5 & 6 in both VLN player and BSplayer, they just refused to see it and and subtitle workshop just refuse to open it at all.  In the end I had to fiddle about with the sub files to get it to work and also I fixed a few spelling mistakes that I had spotted.



I love the drama so far and as I watch more episodes it gets more and more exciting. Can't wait for when LJK becomes stronger and fight back. At the moment he's far too weak and a little bit on the pathetic side cuz he crys so much >_< for starters.

I didn't have any problem with the subs, nor playing them neither with the spelling. Maybe they aren't perfect but I think they are good enough to watch and understand the drama without any problems. Some little error is acceptable, I don't think it supposes a problem. It's also true that my mother language isn't English so I might be too negligent with grammar errors or so ^^U.

Anyway, let's just cheer this team, 'cos translating from Korean is difficult and I'd be much more slow than them. They're doing a fine work :)

I'm downloading Iljimae ep 13 now and at the same time excited to watch ep 7 & 8 with english subtitle as well. I heard ep 13 was superb and everyone is looking forward for ep 14 with high anticipation. Cant wait to watch!!

Instructions to download from Clubbox can be found at the Soompi website: http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?&&showtopic=566  (you will need an account to view the page)I suggest using the CCCP codec pack (fount here: http://www.cccp-project.net/) if you are using Windows XP/2000/Vista. This will install all the latest codecs to play 99.99% of the video/audio files you will ever encounter. It also installs VobSub (which is used to play SRT subtitle files such as the one provided by KST). All you have to do is place the subtitle file in the same folder as the accompanying video. You also have to make sure that the subtitle file and video file it belongs to have the same name. For example, if I wanted to watch Iljimae.KST.Ental.Ep05.avi, I would have to name the subtitle file Iljimae.KST.Ental.Ep05.srt. This way, when I double click on the Iljimae video file, the subtitle file for Ep. 05 is automatically picked up. You don't need to do all this if you are using VLC player, but since you were having some problems I thought I would suggest an alternate method. If you decide to install CCCP, make sure to uninstall all other codecs that you may have installed.

@Admins: Is there a reason why episode 11 and 12 video fíle sizes are smaller than usual? It's almost 100MB smaller. Is Ental using a different encoding scheme? Using a lower resolution?

OMG thanks for the subs 7 and 8. You said it was coming out today and it really did. Thanks soo much. I bet a lot of people were refreshing this page over and over again.lol

I think the files were twice as big for episodes 5 & 6 because they were save under encoding=Unicode, instead of ANSI like the rest of the sub files. ^^I posed your question to Admin. Vivian, and she has no idea why the files are smaller either.  She said whoever ripped this might knows the answer ...oh, btw, thanks for answering some of the more technical questions ^^
