Kim Hyun Joong's participation in Hana Yori Dango unconfirmed

Today, the press announced that Kim Hyun Joong, member of the famous SS501 will participate in Hana Yori Dango the Korean version.

Immediately after that, Kim Hyun Joong's management company denied the news: "Right now, Kim Hyun Joong's appearance in Hana Yori Dango is still unconfirmed. His schedule until the end of 2008 is packed with activities with SS501. At the present, it is unsure whether he will be acting in Hana Yori Dango. We haven't even entered the official discussion. SS501 was at Japan, and was shocked upon hearing the news"

At the same time, the Korean production company also revealed that even though they have contacted Kim Hyun Joong's manager but they haven't decided on any actor for any role. They are still in the selection process for the leads of HYD. It's undecided whether to have stars in this drama.

HYD is a widely loved piece in many countries so the Korean TV adaption attracts lots of attention from the general public.

erh.... i'm not so excited bout this drama like everyone in here probably does. I enjoyed reading the manga and watched the taiwanese version but didn't really like it. I guess many manga-based dramas have the same problem cz audiences usually expect a lot from the drama which they have known the content in advance. So that makes it even trickier for the producer to be more creative and innovative to look for new details in order to retain the audience's interest in their drama. But hey, since Koreans are very smart and creative themselves, hopefully they'll blow something new into this project!
